Get access to Amazon Ads and Seller Central

To set up Seller Ascent AI, you need to be able to authorize access to both your Amazon Ads account and your Amazon Seller Central account.

Quick check: If you can sign in to both advertising.amazon.com and sellercentral.amazon.com, you’re done.
  1. 1

Confirm which email you should use

Use the same email address you plan to use when connecting Seller Ascent AI. If your company uses a shared mailbox or an IT-managed account, ask your admin which email is the correct one.

If your Amazon Ads login email and your Seller Central login email are different, that’s okay—but you’ll need to sign in to each service with the correct account during setup.

  2. 2

    Get Amazon Ads access

2A) If your business already advertises on Amazon

You likely need an existing admin on your Amazon Ads account to invite you and grant access. Share these steps with your admin:

    1. Sign in to Amazon Ads.
    2. Open account settings / user management.
    3. Invite your email address and choose the appropriate role (Admin / Editor / Viewer).
    4. Accept the invitation email, then sign in again to confirm it works.

Amazon’s documentation: Manage users (Amazon Ads) and Invite users.

2B) If your business does not have Amazon Ads set up yet

You’ll need to register for Amazon Ads first. Amazon will guide you through creating an advertising account.

Start here: Register for an advertising account.

  3. 3

    Get Amazon Seller Central access

3A) If your business already sells on Amazon

Ask the primary account administrator (the person who created the Seller Central account) to invite you as an additional user and set permissions.

    1. Sign in to Seller Central as an admin.
    2. Go to Settings User Permissions.
    3. Add your email, send the invitation, then choose the permissions you need.
    4. Accept the invite, then sign in to confirm access.

Amazon’s documentation: Set and edit user permissions (Seller Central).

3B) If your business does not have Seller Central set up yet

You’ll need to register as an Amazon seller and complete Seller Central setup (business info, billing, identity verification).

Start here: How to register as an Amazon seller (step-by-step).

  4. 4

Try signing in again (final check)

After you’ve been granted access (or after registration is complete), sign in to both Amazon Ads and Seller Central again to confirm everything works.

If you get stuck, the most common fix is to confirm you’re using the correct email address and that your admin actually completed the invitation step.
